
A Jaipur couple was injured in a terrorist attack in Kashmir on April 19, 2024. Tabrez Khan (38), a property dealer from Jaipur, and his wife Farha Khan (35) were part of a 50-member tourist group visiting Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. While walking to a restaurant after alighting from a tempo traveler, they were shot at by militants on a motorcycle. Tabrez sustained a gunshot wound near his eye, resulting in the loss of his eye, while Farha was shot in the shoulder and required a rod insertion during surgery .
The couple’s two young children were also present but were unharmed. Following the attack, both were hospitalized at Government Medical College (GMC) in Srinagar. Tabrez was later transferred to a military hospital for further treatment .
The attack occurred amid heightened security concerns in the region, coinciding with upcoming elections. Authorities have condemned the violence and are investigating the incident.
