Jaipur is embarking on a significant transformation of its public transportation system. In a bid to alleviate traffic congestion and provide efficient commuting options, the Rajasthan government has approved the deployment of 2035 mini buses across 16 major routes in the city. This initiative is a part of the broader efforts to modernize Jaipur’s urban infrastructure and enhance the daily commute for its residents.

Previously, Jaipur’s public transport was serviced by 865 mini buses. With the new initiative, an additional 1170 mini buses will be introduced, bringing the total to 2035. These buses will operate on 16 key routes, connecting various parts of the city and ensuring better accessibility for commuters.

• Hathoj – Khatipura Phatak: 150 buses

• Nardpura JDA Colony – Bindayka Sivar Village: 80 buses
• Nadi Ka Phatak – Goner Mod: 200 buses
• Kukas Dental College – Bhankrota: 175 buses
• Muhana – Lalchandpura: 100 buses
• Goner Phatak – Vishwakarma Road: 120 buses
• Poddar Circle – Char Darwaja: 60 buses
• Kanakpura Railway Station – Pratap Nagar Kumbha Marg: 160 buses
• Bhatta Basti/Shastri Nagar – Kukas: 300 buses
• Amer – Railway Station: 70 buses
• Goner Road (Jagatpura Bus Stand) – Sanganer Police Station: 40 buses
• Patrakar Colony – Industrial Area: 200 buses
• Jin’s Factory – Nid Mod: 100 buses
• JDA Colony (Nardpura) – Muhana Mandi Sanganer: 100 buses

Additionally, 8 to 10-seater four-wheel vehicles will be approved for routes such as:

• Hirapura Bus Terminal – Bindayka: 50 vehicles
• Vatika – Hirapura Bus Terminal: 50 vehicles
• Hirapura Bus Terminal – Muhana: 50 vehicles
• Khatwaya- Devri (Riddhi-Siddhi): 50 vehicles

🚧 Addressing Overcrowding and Aging Fleet

Jaipur’s population has been steadily increasing, but the number of public transport options has not kept pace. Over the past five years, the number of mini buses has declined, and many of the existing buses are over 15 to 20 years old and in poor condition. The introduction of these new mini buses aims to address these issues by providing more vehicles and reducing overcrowding.
